I’m Margee Quinn, LICSW (she/they), therapist and business owner of Wise Mind Therapy, PLLC.
I love what I do. I work with adult individuals who are motivated to uncover where certain challenging experiences from the past may be getting them stuck in their present lives. As a licensed clinical social worker, I think about how power and privilege impact my clients both inside and outside the therapy room. I’m a white, queer, femme and I strive to provide therapy from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, neuro-affirming, Health at Every Size (HAES), anti-diet, and feminist perspective. I see therapy as a way to help other marginalized people thrive- I want us to experience joy and fulfillment in our lives and relationships.
I believe that there is no wrong way to have a body, and that we all deserve access to embodiment, connection, and ease. Additionally, I know from both personal and professional experience that healing happens in relationship, which is why I provide both individual and group services.
Outside of the therapy room I enjoy spending time with friends, reading queer fiction, practicing yoga, experimenting with new recipes, biking, and soaking up whatever sunshine Seattle has to offer.
Education and Training
In 2020 I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree from University of Washington. I’m licensed in Washington as an independent clinical social worker (LICSW) and have worked in mental healthcare since 2016. My clinical experience spans a variety of environments- I have worked in emergency departments, inpatient facilities, partial hospitalization programs, outpatient clinics, and in research settings. Most recently prior to starting my private practice, I worked as a therapist serving primarily LGBTQ+ adults at a community mental health clinic.

Values and Community
We all need community to thrive, and that includes me and my work. In my first year of private practice, I participated in Kintsugi Therapist Collective‘s Embodied Private Practice Cohort, where I learned from and with other marginalized therapists as we each worked to build sustainable, equitable, and abundant private practices. I participate in regular individual consultation with KTC Co-Director Onyx Fujii, LCSW. Being in community with therapists who share my values around social justice, liberation, and anti-oppression informs how I show up both in and outside the therapy room. For more of my thoughts around this, check out the Living in This Queer Body podcast episode where I was featured talking about my experience as a member of KTC.
